"Remembering Mel" A Musical Tribute to Mel Torme, and "From The Broscht Belt To Broadway" - June 13, 2009

Standing ovations for Warren Schein! His presentation last Sunday was wonderful. Audience comments, "We didn't want the show to end", " I closed my eyes and swore I was listening to Mel Torme` in person". It was like a trip down memory lane. Warren's selection of songs was so varied with beautiful arrangements. He performed so many of Mel's favorites with great style and voice. In no way during his performance did he ever imitate him, only to emulate his favorite singer. Watch for this performer. It's a show you should not miss.
Anorther show not to be missesd is Warren's new show, "From The Borscht Belt To Broadway". This new show combines an upbeat and fantastic selection from the Great American Songbook, along with favorite standards, Broadway musical favorites, and a fitting tribute to entertainer extraodinaire, Al Jolson. Add to that a shtikl of some of the greatest comedy rountines from the heyday of the Catskill hotel circuit and you have a night of entertainment you won't see anywhere else.
